pot and pans

I received my Cuisinart set in the mail last week. It is really nice, the only additional feature I wish it had would be the ability to clamp the whole nested set together. The only way to keep it together is to store it in the (very nice) cotton bag, not really an ideal solution.

I found a bungee the right length; works great.

I also found a 1.5L tea kettle that fits inside the small pot.
The wife insisted...

I finally got around to using some primus litech pots an frypan I found on steep and cheap about 2 years ago...
Was reallly impressed by the nonstick surface...beat them up in the boundary waters cooking over open fire...held up well...I am torn though bc biggest drawback to the nonstick is not being able to clean with dirt sans water
I would recommend...

You all are going to bankrupt me! I really don't need this as I'm fine with using old cookware. But every time I take it, I curse about what a PITA it is to pack. This is nicer than what I need, but there don't seem to be any good, packable alternatives for any cheaper.

This is exactly why I just clicked "buy" on one of these as an unplanned purchase.

I was lucky enough to find a Cusinart set on clearance several years ago. Paid about $60.00 plus shipping. Seems to me it contains an extra piece that they don't include now.

I was warned several years ago when I joined this forum that "this forum is bad for your wallet"
I could have retired by now had I heed that warning then...
I keep telling myself "you only live once....hahah"

I bought the Cuisinart set through Amazon too; it arrived yesterday. Really really nice quality. Considering that a backpacking cookset is $50-60 (and up), this is a pretty nice deal at $90 shipped.

Anyone have a height measurement of the Cuisinart set? Would like it to fit into my smallish action packer.
