Yea, other than the paint I can't see a problem with that low mileage one if it's been well maintained.

Thanks @eric m...I drove a camo bronco around Dallas for 3 years...no worries about the paint! 😀

This is just my 2 cents but I would buy a well cared for truck and modify it to your liking. Don't go buy a modified truck that someone already beat the hell out of. While there are alot of solid trucks that were meticulously maintained by caring owners my experience has been that mostly they are beat to hell and that's often the reason they are being sold.

I believe if I had to choose this one would be the one I got...granted if its mechanically sound. One owner doesn't mean much if its been neglected by that owner. All those extras on the othe other...in my opinion doesn't out way the low miles that this one has. You can always buy a sweet rack etc...but you can't buy miles back. I would check to see if the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and pulley have been done at the 60k service and make sure he has the service records for it. At the price he has it at vs. The price of the outfitted montero you could have the timing belt done for piece of mind and still be under the $4500 of the other rig. Plus you also get the rear locker in this one, and I bet it has jump seat in the back. The other one looked as if the 3rd row seats had been pulled.

Edit: looked at the pics again, it definitely has the 3rd row seats. Man I wish I lived in Texas I would nab that sucka up!!!

For that price and those miles, thats one sweet rig!!!

me too ! owned a Gen3 and a Gen2 95 SR but I would love to have another one !

He has not done the 60k service. Trying to get out to see it in person to see what I have, but not a good start.

That kinda sucks! You would need to do the timing belt etc... right out of the box. To me that wouldn't be a deal breaker if everything else checks out. on a good note you could try and talk him down a few hundred bucks because of the maintenance needed.

@jhill 15, was what I was thinking. Not sure if I want to tackle that right off the bat by myself.
@Eric M, that IS the scary part.....

I saw that one too @kyleT. Have reached out, but might be above my skill level depending on the issue. But you are in Ft. Worth too, so maybe you can help if on my deficit of knowledge! :wings:

Ha...so we are in the same boat really!

Man I'm only a month old owner too lol but I am willing to try.

This one might be too tough, but this is what the owner said "It died on me and I had it towed home. Pretty sure it's the engine. I thought about having it diagnosed but again just don't have the finances."

I guess it could just be out of gas right....

Going to see the 1995 low miles one tomorrow. Guy is from Venezuela and has a new baby (living with his parents). Meeting at Pep Boys to really give it the once over and verify anything I might miss. Anyone suggest another option to get it checked out in the Dallas/Mesquite area?

Psyched, but almost seems too good right now.
