Prerunner Expediton Capable?

The one guy I know personally who swapped the 4wd into his prerunner said if he could do it over he would just buy one. How many hours are you going to spend doing this that you could be spending outdoors instead? Unless you love projects, but the truck sounds like a daily driver not a project.

This is the decision you have to make personally if it is worth your time. For me, I'd opt to switch vehicles instead. Less of a can it be done issue and more of a do I want to do it issue for me.

You could also buy a cheaper vehicle for your expiditions...I will be purchasing a new prerunner soon and having an XJ for the expiditions..You can use the prerunner for daily driving and when you just want to throw some camping gear in the back and do some some mild camping...
