I caught the last 40 minutes of the show on TV tonight, didn't know you guys put yourselves "out there" that much (on TV). You have more guts than I do in that regard.

I liked it, neat show. Sort of echoing some previous statements, I was saying to myself "where are the chains?". But, mother of all snow storms where it isn't supposed to happen - I wouldn't have had them either. To the people that say they wouldn't have helped, they undoubtedly would have helped the Brute plow in the lead up the slope. Been there. There wouldn't have been the running start and go until you bog down scenario. I highly recommend chains be brought for conditions like that that can be foreseen.

And for when you absolutely have to get up the mountain through three feet of snow, there is another technique that shouldn't be forgotten. Use a push vehicle if you have one with a push bar that will mate with the rear bumper of another. Eight tires are better than four. With spare tire carriers, etc, hanging off the back, the lack of front bumpers designed to push, and the rarity of two bumpers matching in height, it rarely gets used. And it is tricky to do. But it is something to keep in mind.

Cool show! And as someone else said ... do another one!

Just watched it. The entire time I thought about those Geico commercials where they got the radio announcer guy to do his trailer voice. I kept running through "In a world, completely underwater..."

It was entertaining. I think a few parts seemed very built up to create a suspenseful feeling and the 90 degree pull on a rear facing hook that looked MIGHTY shallow to me made me cringe a little bit. Looked like a fun one though. I wish I lived closer to this area. It is one thing high on my list of places to go.

I dont want a Brute but I DO want a D110 Hi Cab pickup badly now. Completely wont help me as there isnt room for more than two people but I really want one.

I didn't know it re-aired this weekend but a couple of the young kids at work were talking about it this morning. They knew AEV and raved about the rigs. They also called the guys "drama queens", I guess eluding to the dramatic dialog.

I'd like to see it again. It was a fun way to spend an hour, I want to see if it holds up to a second veiwing.

Heres a question: Why was everyones CEL on? The "test" jeep, the Disco and the Brute all had their CELs blazing and Im wondering why. Was it weather related? Did they trip after the hub deep crossing? Just curious.

Did anyone else see the driver of the black XTerra in the beginning? He stuck his arm out the window as the truck rolled. It looked terrible.

I thought it was just normal for Land Rovers and Chryslers to have the CEL on permanently?

Never tripped one on my D1 but they came as standard equipment on my VWs and Audis.

My other question is about that ledge that required winching. Where is that and is it normally passable?
