Prime-time Television Episode Features Overland Journal

I finally got to see this today.

I really enjoyed it.

Awesome Job Guys! Great work!

Keep Going....:victory:

It was super to see some highly technical four-wheeling on TV. Nice job, guys.

But I gotta say, I was underwhelmed by the overly dramatic sense of danger that everyone brought to the program. The commentary had to suit the Dangerous Drives theme, I guess, but I thought the near over-the-top implication of certain death was too much.

When I go into the wild, I do everything possible to minimize the danger. Just like when I bicycle commute to work -- I'm doing it 'cause I enjoy it, and I'm doing everything I can to minimize risk. Sure I *could* die, but I'm trying hard to stay as far away from that as possible, and I don't dwell on it.

The pressures of TV, I guess. I'd be very surprised if the experienced bunch of expedition travelers seeks out danger and high risk situations like the program made it sound.

I've been on 500' to 1000'/2000' ++ foot cliff side trails.

The threat IS Real.

Especially when slick!

They did Not over state it.

An Awesome trip that we can all learn from!

Genuinely looking forward to seeing the episode once it reaches 20th-century media. The Million $ Highway episode was a over-the-top on drama concerning Hwy 550; sounds like this is more "real."

I don't know how I missed this thread... jsut caught the show last night. I was impressed with the brute. Engine swaps are always trouble but if anythng was going to overheat or go bang it would have happened plowing snow like that:ylsmoke: Looks like they built a solid truck.

Enjoyed the episode, especially the photography.

A bit dramatic (hence the series title) which made it sound like death was around each corner at times and that off roading is a dangerous sport and we that do it, must be nuts!
