Purchased it on iTunes as well!
Sinuhe's DI is an automatic 1999 SD. His previous truck was a 5-speed. I bet he likes having the auto in LA, but probably misses rowing his own out on the open road and trail.
It was super to see some highly technical four-wheeling on TV. Nice job, guys.
But I gotta say, I was underwhelmed by the overly dramatic sense of danger that everyone brought to the program. The commentary had to suit the Dangerous Drives theme, I guess, but I thought the near over-the-top implication of certain death was too much.
When I go into the wild, I do everything possible to minimize the danger. Just like when I bicycle commute to work -- I'm doing it 'cause I enjoy it, and I'm doing everything I can to minimize risk. Sure I *could* die, but I'm trying hard to stay as far away from that as possible, and I don't dwell on it.
The pressures of TV, I guess. I'd be very surprised if the experienced bunch of expedition travelers seeks out danger and high risk situations like the program made it sound.
