Good luck with the move! You are going to miss Oregon and the coast I bet. Where in Colo are you headed?

We have been packing for the past two weeks and are moving to Colorado Thursday morning. I will be updating slowly from now on until the major rework happens to the truck, which will include a pop top camper.

Where are you moving to? I'm in the Ft Collins area so if you need anything at all hit me up

We actually didn't visit the coast too much. I feel like if I want to go to the beach I want some good weather and 10 months out of the year that's just not at the Oregon coast haha. It is a very cool place, but rather depressing with bad weather in my opinion. We will miss Oregon but we still have family here so visits should be often. We will be located in the Boulder area, incredible scenery!

We will be just outside of Boulder so probably an hour away from your area I think. Thanks for the kind words and I hope to make some new friends here in the expedition community. I hope you weren't affected by the fires in that area. Are there any others still going?

any updates on this? I've got a 1994 cummins ram with a similar topper and I'm doing a decent amount of copying of your build...

Back from the dead and looking a little different. Recently upgraded to a pop top and excited to expand from here. Teaser pic.

There's a flurry of 2nd gen activity of late! Good to see. I hope to add to the 2nd gen-o-rama in the near future...

How's the Colorado winter treating you Spence?

Beautiful:Wow1: pic you posted there Spenicator. Nice looking to camper you got yourself there. I look forward to seeing pics of your fine rig out in the bush. It will also be cool to see if Redthies gets into a second gen Dodge....:)

This winter has actually been really mild. Its my first here, but from what I've heard this is nothing compared to previous years. Its definitely more then Oregon but still pretty dry here.

Chilliwak- Thank you. I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time and the truck is really starting to take form. Plans for this summer include on-board air and 37's.

The 2nd gen platform is actually a great truck once the bugs are worked out. The cummins is bulletproof if well cared for and once the dodge parts are upgraded to be reliable its a great truck.

We have been doing a lot of cleaning on the camper and replacing things that are out dated. Im not sure if I should continue the build thread here or start one in the pop top section. I guess Ill keep the truck tech here and camper tech in pop top. Ill include that in my sig.

Expect many pictures to come, next trip is planned for this coming weekend.

Still need to clean it up and wax the camper and truck. Gotta get a good detail on it before I take it out and get it filthy. :ylsmoke:

I see this project is still going strong :ylsmoke:

Its certainly picked up recently after around a year of no changes... Couple more updates.

After taking out the new camper for the first time in a full on Colorado storm in the rockies (not the best idea, but still fun), I almost had to stop and pull over from not being able to see with my current headlights. I was really not happy with the performance of my HIDs in the snow. That being said, I immediately ordered new headlight housings, and will be going back to stock upgraded bulbs. Also planning on running 4 hella fogs up front for back country trails.

New housings installed.

Next thing was to support the extra weight. I wasn't having too much of a sagging problem, it was more rocking back and forth over bumps and taking corners. So I decided to add the ride rite kit. This is definitely one of the best mods I've made to the truck. I can also raise it when I carry the dirt bike and extra gear in the camper. Definitely worth the money!!

I will do the final plumbing once I get the loom for the lines. The fittings will be installed to the rear of the bed.
