Its slow going.

Got my rear Dana60, for $125, got it pulled part and cleaned up.

Got my H1 wheels ordered, right at $1300.:Wow1:

Doing some searching to see if its cheaper to buy the NP231 and build it(thicker chain,SYE and 4:1 gears) or buy one thats already built. Not having much luck!

Still trying to find a high pinion Dana60 front, cheapest i've found is around $800!

And this will be going on the front, http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/D60-high-steer-kit-for-kingpin-axles_p_1246.html

Does anyone know the transmission gear ratios? Still deciding what diff gears would be best.

Thats really about it for now, been busy, work and trying to finish up the summer semester.

I've already told Chris(builder) he has to take a million pictures during the actual build, or i'd be murdered by Montero owners from all over!:sombrero:

I talked to this guy on Instagram. Well he found me and we started talking. He said he had some issues that he needed to take care of where he needed money. So he ended up selling his project, including car and axles, etc.

So no SAS for this one. :coffee:

Darn! Well, thanks for the update. No holding my breath for this one. Good luck to the OP. Priorities first.

Not surprised at all, from the sound of post #31 he really didn't know what he was getting into anyway. I personally would never SAS a Montero, they were built for a different type of terrain than a Jeep even though they do well on some Jeep trails.

I hate to see anyone give up on a project, but the direction he was going was definitely overkill. Off-roader was making great suggestions, they were just falling on deaf ears. Uwharrie is regularly done on 33s and ifs vehicles, and since this build started, Mountain City has also closed. Trucks that built end up get trailered, and trailered trucks don't get driven.
