Final addition for the swingouts on the rear bumper. Now its final surface prepping before sending off to powder coating. This one is not going to be cheap.:doah:

Actually just giving the axle to a friends jeep shop. I already have another 1/2 ton axle ready to go with gears and a limited slip. It's getting Springs too.

I am trying to talk myself out of moving from our 1997 Yukon into a 1990 Burb with SFA....do you have any links or key notes on the front axle of the 88-91 1/2t axles?
I think our 1997 has LSD front and rear...it digs 4 holes!

Thanks

Removed the steering shaft this afternoon. Looks like the XJ shaft I have might be for the 97+ XJs I am stopping by my friends XJ shop tomorrow anyways so I will see if I can verify which is which.

My god I love this truck. When the time comes to build my bumpers I will be "borrowing" lots of your methods since we have had many of the exact same ideas.

Can you a question for me? I'm curious what the visibility of the tail lights is like from a car length or two back when the swing outs are closed. My concern with my bumper is that it will be too wide and cover the lights.

Thanks, and awesome truck!

Awesome thanks! I can't add one up top but I can add one to the tire carrier, or I may just put a pair on the bumper itself though I don't want to.

I had no idea you had a kit available, I'll just buy that to simplify the front. Are there plans for a rear kit?

To the manufactures of this weld in plate. Would it kill you to take 30 seconds to deburr the edges left over from the stamping process? I think I lost about a pint of blood from a fountain gash.

I am pretty sure others have done it but I used 4 bolts to pull the plate down while heating it up. plus I also knew the holes would still line up.

Wife likes to catch in the process.

Bottom plate all welded up. This part of the project is done.
