Purchasing ARB bumper question

Hey kurt, originaly when I ordered my bumper and then fit kit I did say that it was for a xd9000. At the time I had no idea there was a difference between the two. I do now and I did however go ahead and mount the winch to the bumper and it fits. It may not be what arb recommends but it does however fit with clearence to spare. I do realize that this is not the most ideal set up due to the controls being subjected to water during deeper water crossings. Also hooking up the controler can be a pain if your in a jam. I alreay owned this winch and will run it till I upgrade to a m12000 and put the xd9000I back on my other truck.
I'll post pics when I get to my camera later today.
Thanks,
Bob

I'm fully aware it will fit dimensionally, we've been through this on Mud a time or too ;) I was referring to the "the correct mounting" but you are 100% up to speed on that.

I would swap it sooner than later, I've seen the corroded solenoids that had to be replaced and the rusted internals that took some severe cleaning after just a few winters in that orientation. As I recall his repair bill from the local winch facility (Six States) was over $300 not including his time to take everything back off the vehicle, etc.

One might try and add your own drain holes into the integrated housing and you might possible do the same to the motor housing if you anticipate being in some wet places or the winch will be there for an extended time period.
