Quad Cab DuraMax build

Thanks man.

The overunder is a "stoeger condor competition" imported by benelli. 30 in barrel. It is a great gun, I have put several thousand rounds through it and it preforms flawlessly every time.

And my carry, Taurus model 85 .38 special.

After scratching my head for a while I did this. 4.5 in cut through middle of rear cap to make room for floating axle... Did not come out too bad considering it cost me nothing. ( Thanks Lowes for selling me the bit I needed then letting me return it 1 hour later). lol

Looks good, although I can't really condone buying a product for a single use, using it, then returning it as if it's unused...

No need to condone my juvenile actions. It was clear I had used the bit, wasn't even in the box, the kid could have cared less.

All judgment aside the truck drives so much better with these tires, straight as an arrow. Plus lifted it around in inch. I don't see the need for a leveling kit anymore. Nest step is a spare (will a 285/70/17) fit under the truck? Also looking at what cab lights to go with..:coffee:

285 will fit under the truck, 305 will "just" fit with some light rubbing on the differential cover. Pull the tire towards the rear bumper as you hoist it into position. You want it to be as far away from the differential cover as possible. (Just occured to me that this info may not be good on a stock suspension, I have a 6" lift)

nice build

Hey Dominic,

Nice build, along the same lines of what I'm doing with my '03 duramax.....question, hows the tire rub with those H2 wheels and tires? I just found a set of wheels for 300 (try and talk him down to 200) and am thinking of doing this as well. stock suspension with leveling kit on my rig.....

H2 wheels are held in pretty high regard by the DMax community, as they are generally very affordable, strong, and the have the ideal offset for running 185 or 305 with little to not trimming or massaging.

I love them, the truck drives very well and track dead on. The bfg's were used but are very quiet. I did not have to trim and I love the look. I am stock with no lift.

LOL. I can!
Lowes is the debil. Anyone that sticks it to them is a friend of mine. Viva la Home Depot!

Looks good. Simple clean solution.
