If you haven't done the Cognito steering correction kit yet, do it now that you have new Pitman/idler arms.

I have not but will look into it. With all the money this company has put into my truck I am sure they are looking for anything that they can use to void the warranty... I could try and call and get there oaky.. Meanwhile the truck spends almost all its time on the road taking me snowboarding. Will defiantly have some reinforcing to do before hitting any good trails.

I am also saving for some Goodyear Duratrac's, had them on my Tahoe and loved them.

Truck is in the shop and has been since last week... I have been driving my brothers clk430 and its super nice... but I just want my truck back!!!

Cognito kit shouldn't void a warranty (I'm a service writer at a GMC dealership). If the Pitman arm/idler arm ever have to be changed again, you would be on the hook for any extra labor. Biggest issue I've seen with aftermarket warranties is over size tires. They want the tires to match the sticker on the door unless you paid a premium for over size tires. It will be clearly marked on your contract if you have it, if it is not there, you DON'T have it.

Thanks for the reply, sir. The company has been pretty cool about everything so far, probably the best thing to do is cover my ***** and call and ask first. I try to stay away from the dealership, there are so many good diesel specialty shops in Valley (phoenix) and with my warranty I can go to the shop of my choosing. I did my home work and sent my truck here http://www.danabros.com/ . The warranty company did not even send someone out to verify the 4k repair its in the shop for so I bet your right, I would be fine. I am not covered for a lift or over sized tires however I am using GM rolling stock off an H2 (2500) with a smaller tire 285/70/17. Perhaps I should grab a set of stockers off CL just in case. :coffee:

I've had an extended warranty claim declined on a Yukon because it was running 285's and the door placard calls for 265's.

Thanks for the advise! When they denied that claim did a representative from the company come and inspect? I think my d-max cam stock with 245's =(

Update.

Started to build a platform for the camper top to house my mattress and camping gear. Spent around 40 bucks on supplies.

So I ended up getting the "Guard Dogs" instead of new "back bones" in the link above. stayed with the 285-70r17 and went with an E load. I will keep everyone updated in how they hold up.

I ran those on a grand cherokee for 2yrs. Sold the jeep to a friend over a year ago and they're still going strong. Great tires. Could you post some pics please? I'm thinking of putting these on my Dmax once my procomps wear out. TIA
