So I got shocks, went with pro-comp, pro-runner. Not a big fan of pro-comp but I got a good deal on them at 4wheel parts(65 a shock). They are basically 5100 knock-offs, a bit softer I am told.. I love them so far, truck rides so smooth. The competitor in the pic below is the Rancho 7000 I think, although Rancho and Procomp are made by the same place. I will keep you all updated on these, lifetime warranty is nice.

Very nice additions to your truck.
I like the black out look you did.
I have a 2002 GMC 2500HD but with the 6.0 gas.
It has been a great truck for me and my family.
Like riding on a big couch.

I like where you are headeing with the build and look forward to more.

Yeah, I have been following your build for a while, Mark. Super clean truck, and the matching trailer is just tits. You have also made me want a set of 235/85's :victory:

I plasti-dipped the front bumper and mirrors. =)

Z71 bump stops. Made ride SO much better. 80 bucks from dealer and worth every penny. Next I will be replacing the rear shackles with sulastic rubber spring shackles and replacing the cab mounts with the new version.. So the recipe for a comfortable ride. shocks, bump stops, sulastic's.

I have been thinking of the Z71 bump stops and I see your stockers were hammered, so when you say "SO much better" I have to ask how so? I have seen people say they are better, but I would like to know in what way I guess.

Truck is looking great by the way.

They act like a second shock as the controls arms rest on the BS so it rides directly on them, I had half on one side and the other was shot. I replaced them and the truck is so smooth, cant wait to get cab mounts in and see the little buck it has at 55 go away completely. The stockers are rubber and look pointed instead of rounded.

Painted the mirrors and side steps.
