I saw something rickashay posted about a shackle flip kit hitting the market soon. I'm definitely interested in that.

Build your own?
If you haven't already I'd check out camshaft's 2nd Gen Tacoma build on here. He has some really good tech regarding his shackle flip.

Tundras rear frame rails are tapered inwards, which make a properly setup shackle flip a little bit harder to accomplish. This offering will be laser cut and CAD designed to match the frame profile, and will be bolt on. I'm not building it but will be testing it along with sean_pistol. We will have more info and probably start a "gauging interest" thread once we get a prototype on our hands.

How do I get in on this prototype testing? Lol

Took a trip to the beach during this warm winter.

I had some water intrusion from the 3rd brake light and the rear window mounts. Some kitchen and bath silicon sealant took care of thoes issues. I have to find a way to mitigate dust in the back. Also added power, switch box and bed lights. Tomorrow I hope to get the camp lights installed.

Should work better once I lift and trim the bedside.

Today I replaced the brakes. The dealership said there was 60% pad life left. I suppose they were right, the fronts were 10% the rears were new. So average of the two would be close to 60%. They also added brake fluid to raise the level, once I compressed the Pistons, it overflowed. I'd call them a shady dealership and don't recomend buying anything from them. Next up on maintance is lower ball joints and external trans cooler.

Mind sharing your setup for camp and bed lights?
Also I see that huge Kona banner...if you are ever interested in a Knolly, just let me know!

Sure! For bed lights I chose Avec bed light kit. Purchased it on amazon (my review from my wife's prime account) if you can figure it out purchase a set! But wait! Wait until the price drops. I paid 24 for the kit, one day later it was 16, then 69, 19, 69... You get the point.

My camp lights are some Whalen led strobe lights set up on steady burn. I live 1/2 mile from the fire station so I won't run them responding. Built some quick aluminum brackets and bolted them up. I'll grab some pictures when it's not raining sideways out.

I have a loaded kona coiler, which hasn't been ridden in about 2 years. There are no good trails up here. Hopefully my next duty station will be better for riding.

I sold the black set of trd baja wheels. I need bronze!!! What would you do, pay 950 for a set of bronze trd baja wheels and run spacers OR purchase a set of 5 scs F5's without spacers?

I'm leaning that way, pro of scs easy to clean, con not as appealing as the TRD

Pro of TRD beautiful oem wheels, con looks like a pain in the *** to keep clean

I'd go SCS - cleaner look appeals to me, lighter weight should appeal to all, no need for spacers (more weight and potential for problems), etc.
Thanks for the link to the amazon lights!
