Questions on backup (rear view) camera

Does anyone have any experience with this unit? Audiovox ACA250

While the Suburban is in the shop for repairs from the allegedly drunk driver hitting it while he was heading the wrong way down a one way city street, we have a 2010 GMC Acadia for a rental. He had already hit two cars with his Saturn before heading straight for my wife in the Suburban.

The Acadia has the integrated backup camera and the Mrs. is finally warming up to the value of such a device. Not that she couldn't see it before, but now that she is using it first hand, it's value is becoming more evident. ;)

I've been using a simple fresnel lens on the back window that helps somewhat, but a camera would definitely be better in my estimation.

I don't have that one. Not sure of the brand I have?

But, mine does have the 2.5" screen, and it's hard to see, for both me and my dad. (paid $70 at the parts store)

My dad bought one with a 4" screen, and it is awsome! He has the screen mounted on the center console of his 'Burb, and it works great. ($100 at Sams Club)

I powered mine with a switch, so I can have it on whenever I want, nice when towing a trailer. Plus if the cargo area is full, it's hard to see out the rearview mirror.

One note: Being 'wireless' (between camera and monitor) your monitor will pick up other cameras, whether wireless security cameras or other back up cameras.:coffeedrink:
