Yup, I think 20K is a fair number. I would have loved to get 30K, but honestly, they are a specialty tire. I figure its just the price I pay to have a great overland tire.... Gotta trade something for traction, durability, easy to balance, smooth on the road ---- tradeoff, noisy, heavy and owww yeah, 18-20K and they are smoked.

Are you staying with 40s or dropping down to 37s?

I won't ever run anything smaller than a 40 on my truck. The AEV high mark fender flares make a 40 look normal.

I finished (90% done) the como box / antenna storage for the truck. I still need to finish the seal and locking mech. for the door (hopefully tomorrow). The storage box also has the base for the long range antenna built into it. We also stared installing the Mirage 200 watt VHF/UHF amp and all my coax along with a custom mount for the Icom 5100A (more pics today).

Mirage amp installed, Alpha Delta Coax switch, pre ran my coax to my adventure rack. The coax passes through the truck cab on the rear drivers side . I drilled holes in the cab and sealed with some specialty grommets.

I did have to super glue the small grommet into the large grommet and then I put some clear silicone on the outside just to add a little protection.
