It's the same TC all the Fords have.

17+ SD's will break the spinning wheel. Just what a torsen diff needs.

I like the idea of the Tremor package if the price is reasonable, I still need to see their solution for the optional winch. For whatever reason I expected a more direct copy of the current PW but it's nice to see some differences with the same goal in mind. If I am honest with myself I still prefer the SD slightly over the Ram as far as the trucks themselves go.

I will likely add the Tremor package to whichever truck I buy if I go with a SD. At the moment I am battling the idea of a big build with a flatbed or keeping things modest and sticking to 35's or 37's with a bumper/winch and some lights. I can't justify the large build if I am using it as my DD, but should I decide to keep the 4Runner and keep the build modest so that it can remain my DD then a lower trim SD build with a flatbed becomes a lot more probable. All of these first world problems lol.

I won't know until I actually get better information but I like the idea of the tremor more than the Power wagon. If I'm getting a heavy duty truck I want the payload and Towing. If I want Max articulation and off-road prowess I'm going with a smaller platform that can actually get into the trails. I'm also probably not going to take a 60 Grand vehicle onto very technical Terrain. For me isn't a super duty makes sense because it realistically much bigger then a crew cab F150 with 6.5 bed. I'm leaning towards a 7.3 F350 tremor. It'll check nearly every box on my wishlist in stock form.

I think that's the point people are forgetting here. The Powerwagon failed in certain areas, trying to beat it at it's own game, would also be a failure.

Payload and towing need to be better than a jeep. Super soft springs aren't needed if there are no hardcore trails for the truck to fit down. A winch behind the thin oem Dodge bumper is just plain silly. And there needs to be a camper rated version. 33's and 4.10's ain't good enough either. The PW used to come with 4.56's.

If I was Ford I'd skip the winch, Warn already has that covered, and a nice bumper.

I think using language like "failed" is indication of bias on your part.

The PW's winch is a huge deal, and still a unique offering in the truck market. The PW's thin bumper is hardly any different from what just about every other OEM offers...OEM's will always focus on crash test compliance and weight reduction as compared to the aftermarket bumpers.

The payload is limited, though still decent. The towing PW's towing capabilities are far superior to that of any midsized or even 1/2 ton truck....remember, we're dealing with a 3/4 ton chassis and powertrain here.

The PW is a factory-built hardcore offroader. The Tremor is a package intended to enhance the F-250's offroad abilities. There is a big difference in terms of intent and actual design. The main advantage of the Tremor is that it can be paired with different engine options and still retain decent tow/payload ratings. If someone wants a hardcore offroader 3/4 ton, the PW still has the definitive advantage IMO.

And of top of that the Ram indeed has got a better rear suspension system, which is more suitable for off-roading.
Although I prefer the looks of the ford over the Ram. I don’t find that curvy design style of Ram very attractive.

I'm the opposite. The block of wood styling of the newer Ford's doesn't look to aerodynamic. I feel the '98-'02' Superduties had great lines.

The 5 link and leaf spring PW actually flexed better than the articulink and 4 link trucks and didn’t need a Thuren rear trackbar to correct some funny handling quirks.

I don’t think the Tremor will come close to the PW in terms of flex/RTI whatever, the trailing arm front suspension basically turns the front axle into a giant sway bar, great for towing stability but not so much for allowing movement on the uncompressed side, hence the PW “articulink”.

The F350 comes standard with a upper overload leaf that can also be had on a F250 equipped with the camper package, pretty much kills unloaded flex. Of course you can toss a 2500lb camper in the box, but at that point is a 11k truck much of rock crawler?

The PW and the Tremor in reality are trucks with different uses.
