On my way to Off Camber 2014 at Mormon Lake I saw 3 dogs on the side of the road in the middle of no where AZ close to the AZ/NM border.
I stopped and a GSD took off but these two drank water laid in the shade of my trailer. One was missing & I found her inside my truck sitting on the fridge. The other one jumped into the front passenger seat. I didn't notice until later it was missing one hind leg. They were both very skinny, thristsy and happy for a A/C ride.
I dropped them off at Safford Animal Control. I called today the 3 legged dog has been adapted and the other is having paper work filled out for a new home this weekend, I wish they could have stayed together)

^^ what happened to them?

2008 FJ Cruiser expedition ready and off-road trailer with RTT.

I dropped them off at Safford AZ animal control.
When I got home 10 days later I was thinking of them and called to check on them, they said the 3 legged dog was adopted already and the other was being picked up by another family today, real sad they weren't kept together they looked to be brothers.
But glad they were adopted

I have posted some pics of ours before, even a couple of these possibly, but I figured I'd add in some more pics of them from our July trip to SW Colorado.

This is Dakota (yellow lab) and Molly Brown (chocolate lab mix). We adopted Molly about 6 years ago, when she was only 6 weeks old. Talk about a lot of work! We then adopted Dakota about 6 months later, but she was already little over a year old then. So Dakota is just under a year order than Molly.

They both love camping so we bring them whenever we can. Though, these longer trips can get a little tough on them and they are usually pretty beat by our drive home.

Can never get them both looking forward at the same time. Lol

Got a little chilly and wet at 11,000' on the loop so they were enjoying their gear.

They liked their platform in the truck so much they ended up sleeping in there all but one night we kept them in the tent.

After a couple days on the loop we took them up to the Taylor Park area to explore.

They're okay with some lounging around camp too.

Then back home, good and wore out. They slept most of the 12 hours home, and stayed that way for a few more days.

Those two dogs found on the side of the road in Arizona look like two hound dogs. Old Dan and Little Ann from Where the Red Fern Grows. Read the book, skip the movie.

Here's my submission. I call this: "Dog is My Co-Pilot", from the CON KSO series titled, "Beautiful California".

This is Riley. Ten months old at the Sheldon NWR.

And speaking of copilots, this the dog he replaced. Yuma made it camping 17 seasons.
