Very nice Joash. I really like that last one, though I think I would crop it tighter for my personal preference .

Thanks Nate, good catch on the cropping,

I've been trying to print some of these plant shots on canvas in "gallery wrap" style - so I left space all around to allow for part of the picture that goes around the 1 inch wood frame.

Great shots Joash. I have thought about canvas prints a few times but never tried them. Have you done canvas prints before? How do they turn out? Thx

I've only done one so far- and i liked how it turned out. I'm thinking these flora/macro shots lend themselves better to canvas, vs the high gloss reflective prints. Seems to me the non-lustrous canvas lets the color palette speak for itself.

Joash, great images. between these and your best of 2011 images there are some really amazing images.

Thanks John, some breathtaking scenery represented in this thread, and yet I find myself inspired every time I get out right here in Michigan. Doesn't hurt to have a stressful job, I guess. :)

Haven't had much time to shoot of late(picked up a second job) let alone scour the forum, boy there's been some good stuff of late. There will be plenty of shooting from me come January, but until then scenes like this will have to suffice.

Well damn, I just hate looking at boring ol images like that. If January is going to open the flood gates on your talented work then I am very concerned for all of us. :Wow1:

Just being a wise guy. Another excellent image Trevor. Hats off to you as always.

Funny Trevor is posting photos like that, and I'm paddling the Suwannee River in the high 70's! The pollen on the river was crazy due to the unseasonably warm weather we're having which is making the trees think it's spring already.
