I invited my class to join me for today's total lunar eclipse.

Right at total eclipse 6:18am, we lost the moon in the clouds, so we shot sunrise pictures.

I got to watch it complete it's change on my way into work.

Nice moon shots indeed!
I was up on our roof at work at 3:30 am yesterday with my camera and tripod, the moon was no where to be found.
All socked in with clouds

About 5 am the clouds started to lift, but alas the eclipse was over.
Next blood moon is September the 28th 2015.

A shot from today on our 1-day fall color tour of the Rose City, MI area. I was testing out a new polarizing filter. Needed be backed off a bit.

Another 1-day color drive. This time up to the Cadillac, Michigan area.

Came across this Shay locomotive on display too. Quite a unique machine.

So.... how many headstones does he have?

The big one is he and his wife. The rest is family. There is another nearby from another lumber baron. He had himself and wife cast in bronze with a guardian angel taking them to heaven. I guess they had some sort of competition to se who could be the most elaborate.
