Down in the Keys last week for a photo shoot

That is almost a "plumber's helper" there. Not a complaint though!

I went down to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill last Friday night to take some pics for my nephew's band, Dani Vitany & Ten Hands Tall. I need a better low-light lens so I played around with them in Lightroom.

Brett, the 24-70 f/2.8 is a great lens for concert photography, and you can save a ton of money to pick up the Sigma over the Canon version. I've shot with the Sigma version for over a decade and have sold more images than I can remember from that lens. Since you have a cropped body, Sigma just came out with a 18-35 that opens up to f/1.8 that would be great for low light photography

Also, you can get pretty good results depending on which body you have by bumping your ISO way up which will compensate for a slower lens

Thanks Pat! B&H has a used 18-50 2.8 Sigma I was eyeballing. I like the sounds of the 18-35 more though. I am disliking my kit lens the more I shoot.[/QUOTE]

Something tells me the local railroad guys weren't having fun in the arctic-like temps here last night.

Oh come on guys! With the amount we've been seeing these things in the news lately, a photo of a train NOT derailed would shock me!

Must have put it in low and ran out to get Starbucks.

The tracks through there are pretty crappy. That is probably the 4th derailment in this area in the last 7-8 years,
