I had this posted in the 'Fireside Chat' area, and someone suggested I move it here.
I apologize in advance if I posted this in the wrong forum, obviously I'm new here (and what a wealth of information this place has to share).
I'm looking at my first adventure vehicle and I've got my eye on a 1999 LC. I have checked all the normal places to try and determine its worth, but I was hoping I could get a little 'confirmation' from all of you experts as to whether or not it is decent deal.
It's. A 99 LC, green with tan leather in very good condition. 130k miles, nothing aftermarket, decent service records, and factory rear locker. No issues, leaks smells etc. The only thing that scares me is that it spent 7 years in Connecticut. It does not appear to have any rust issues (beyond surface rust on the undercarriage), but, growing up in MN, I know what it can do to a vehicle. What would you consider a fair price (realizing of course you're not all looking at the pictures), and should I run away due to it growing up in the north east?
I'm pretty excited about the prospect of purchasing it, and want to make sure I don't walk in with a 'shut up and take my money' approach.
Thanks in advance.
