Reasonable price for a 100 series?

I had this posted in the 'Fireside Chat' area, and someone suggested I move it here.

I apologize in advance if I posted this in the wrong forum, obviously I'm new here (and what a wealth of information this place has to share).

I'm looking at my first adventure vehicle and I've got my eye on a 1999 LC. I have checked all the normal places to try and determine its worth, but I was hoping I could get a little 'confirmation' from all of you experts as to whether or not it is decent deal.

It's. A 99 LC, green with tan leather in very good condition. 130k miles, nothing aftermarket, decent service records, and factory rear locker. No issues, leaks smells etc. The only thing that scares me is that it spent 7 years in Connecticut. It does not appear to have any rust issues (beyond surface rust on the undercarriage), but, growing up in MN, I know what it can do to a vehicle. What would you consider a fair price (realizing of course you're not all looking at the pictures), and should I run away due to it growing up in the north east?

I'm pretty excited about the prospect of purchasing it, and want to make sure I don't walk in with a 'shut up and take my money' approach.

Thanks in advance.

What are they asking for the car?

Do you have a link to the ad and pictures? That could help a lot too.

Don't be afraid, another member would not see it and buy it before you do, lol.

Show us pics or post link to the ad.

Without knowing more on the vehicle, 5500 to 7000 should be your target numbers, take it to a shop and put the vehicle in the air and look for any rust on major components!

Good luck with your purchase!

If you post pictures we can guide you better!
It could be worth 10,000 if is a nice vehicle!

It would also help to know where the OP lives. Your $5,500-$7,000 comment may well work in Texas, but in the PNW about the cheapest you'll find a 100 series is $9,000-$10,000. Nice ones are in the mid teens. The CL ad is not for a TLC, but I'll assume that the location (Jacksonville FL?) is correct?

Wow, that's odd. Not sure why it linked to a different vehicle. Let's try this again: https://jacksonville.craigslist.org/ctd/5071322339.html

After speaking to the salesman, it looks like $10k, tax, tag, title, out the door is his bottom price.

ETA Went back and fixed the link in the previous post. Sorry about that. Also, looks good on service history, including timing chain at 90k and regular service and inspections.

Just FYI one of the interior pictures (with the wood trim) is of a different vehicle. What is it worth to you? Look a Craigslist and see what people are asking for similarly set up vehicles to give you a good idea.
I like the color! I love my 99 LC and decided to spend a little more on one that had most of the mods already done.

Ya, I noticed the incorrect picture as well.

For around here, it is priced really well. 100 series are typically more expensive than that. It would be in my driveway already were it not for my concerns about it spending 7 years in a salt state.

I'm going to look at a really nice 1998 LX470 tomorrow, but of course, that gives me something else to worry about (AHC). First world problems, though, right?

Alright, well I don't know how to fix the link. The ads must change URLs constantly in the craigslist queue when more ads are listed or something. Even in the link that i 'fixed' yesterday, and I verified it went to the LC, it now goes to a different vehicle.

Anyway, I think I'm going to pass. The potential rust issues scare me too much.

Thanks for your input everyone.
