How well does the roof lift mechanisms work especially out there on the trails where there is a lot of vibration that could damage the tracks or the lifting engine? Also, when happens when you're not on very even terrain and you're resting for the night. Finally, is there any way you can put a pass through from the cab through the cabini (even if you have to remove the bathroom sink)?

Did you build the box?

How is the road noise in the cab?
Do you have pictures with some of the cabinetry opened up?
I noticed the rear, has jacks, is it unstable with them up?

I did, this is the second truck I have built on the Stewart and Stevenson chassis. The first was a 6x6 with a 19' box that I lived in with my wife and 3 dogs for 6 years. Took that R&D and put it into this truck.

How is the road noise in the cab?
Infinitely better now that we had the cab professionally soundproofed! It made a big difference. I am going to do it to my first truck after driving this one.

It's not unstable, but if you are moving around upstairs or if it's windy, it certainly helps with stability.

The build looks good. I have looked at a few on and really like the 6x6 chassis as I figure out my next full time rig. I am probably a year out on pulling the trigger. So am in the research phase, I appreciate your insight. Yours is close though as I am on the dryer side of the PNW.

I was just wondering if they are open, hanging, etc. I am guessing it’s a mix.

Good deal on the cab soundproofing. Acela does a great job, or places that do is professionally. but sometimes the home builds….yea know. They will never be quiet like a tiny car, but no one wants to wear hear pro, or yell to talk.
