Quick phone image of the drawers carpeted and in. Haven't put handles on them yet, hence the cord wrapped through the lock tumbler area.

Handles this weekend, drawer slides will be installed sometime in the next few months.

The dramatization captured in these past few photo sets are out right AMAZING! This build never fails to spark my mind

Thank you!

Before a recent trip to Mammoth, I finally tore into the rear end to solve the diff hitting the tank skid. I had to pull the coils off to flex out to full bump, adjust the pinion and check clearance a few times to make sure everything cleared.

Tires rub a bit at full articulation, but not enough for me to feel like I needed to trim the fenders.

Full Bump Rear

Full Articulation Rear

Tank Skid Clearance (You can see where it was hitting before)

I must have missed it... I did do a search for custom floor jack - Whats the story on this Floor jack with the custom side alum. plates? Ive been looking for something just like this! Are those side plates a Custom deal, or from a supplier? Looks great, and would meet my needs - Please share info. Thanks. Dan

Something I saw a bunch of the guy's on the desert forums doing so I made a full one piece skid out of a 5"x5" .25" wall Square 7075 Tube I had. Actually the same tube I made the front bumper out of. I was planning on finishing the front and rear skid on the jack but still haven't gotten around to it. Even without the front roller the jack is light enough to slide around concrete. I use it on my cars all the time in the driveway.

Search around for HF 1.5 Ton Jack Skid and you'll find some commercial options as well :

Well, in an effort to finally wrap up all the small unfinished projects around the jeep, I tore into the dash this weekend and started building a tubular center console.

Goal is to have it hold all of the contura switches, gauges, stereo, ham radio, navigation system and have all the shifters mounted to it.

The easy part is done. Now it is time for all the small detail work! Hopefully I can wrap it up this weekend.

How did the dash turn out?

Horribly unfinished and an eye sore every time I get in the Jeep. Functional. Yes. Need to find the time to do it right. Really just slapped it together for a trip 6 months ago and never finished it the way I wanted.

The design is really slick, hope to see it finished someday!

Thank you! I do too. Right now I have a lot going on and probably am not going to tackle the console for a few more months.

After hitting the Rubicon last weekend an issue that has slightly plagued my NP231J for the past few years became apparent so I picked up a used 231J w/ SYE yesterday and will be rebuilding it this week to swap into the Jeep. The AW4 & Torque Converter are also starting to show their age. I have an AW4 (OBDII This time) at a buddies shop being separated from a 4.0L early next week. My goal the following weekend is to drop the current Trans/TransferCase, swap in the rebuilt NP231 and put in the newer Torque Convertor and Starter Ring (Mine currently has some teeth missing).

With the spare AW4 I'm going to slowly rebuild the transmission ground up and build an NP242 along side it to swap in the near future. I will likely be doing the high horsepower clutch pack as I want this drivetrain behind a stroker that I am going to either build or buy from Golen. the NP242 will give me a fully locking 2.72:1 Low as well as a full time AWD. While I highly doubt I'll do this due to the expense of it, Teraflex does convert NP242's to 4:1 low as well.

Big things, lots of work to do an so little time!
