Transfagarsan road is considered to be the most beautiful road in th world and Trasaplina pass is the highest road in Romania, surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains.

I love roaming in the backcountry of Romania. Very friendly people, huge nature, very authentic, and thousand of km of 4x4 tracks.

@LocoCoyote, in Romania you'll find plenty of camping spots. They are all free. You don't have to worry about too many rules, but try to keep the woods clean after you spend a night here ... You are welcome!
