Folks, here is the first looks at a dapper ol' bloke who decided to put an Eezi-Awn 2200 on the roof of his FZJ80. To take a semi-quote from D. Trump: ``You'd look good in a tent like this, I know I do.''

First impressions are great and ``damn...that really is a big tent up there!'' It's basically two 1200's combined with a dividing wall in-between creating a 2-bedroom luxury camping suite. It's suprisingly easy to `pitch' completely by myself although it takes a touch longer due to it's dual-ladder system. I'll hopefully be having much more to write and say after some upcoming trips so I'll keep y'all posted, but here's some teaser shots in the meantime:

Here's my possibly permanent mounting arrangment, keeping it flush to the driver's side for a starboard overhang:

Wow, with a tent that size you and Mrs. pskhaat should consider having a few more kids. A whole gaggle of little pskhaats.....

The 2200 looks really good. I'm assuming similar height dimensions to the smaller models when closed up? Just a longer base, right? I think for proper proportioning though, you're going to need a bigger snorkel.

Damn, That's a big tent! :yikes:

So that rack didn't end up working out? It was a little puney compared to everything else about that tent...

That rack was supposed to wrap the bottom of the tent with the 1" square tube load bars, but I didn't properly take into account the mounting system of the tent and I couldn't get it to fit (yet) appropriately. I'm still going to tray and get it wrapped around though for accessory mounting and lights...

Previously, I rarely ran sway bars. My articulation was of course much better without and I didn't find road performance too bad. With the 2200 I've definetely re-installed the sway bars. With the tent on top (or any roof rack for that matter) I had more roll and the bars help road manners significantly.

Does the 2200 series have the 42" flat panel option yet?.......

Did you have to apply for a new zip code for the HUGE bad boy?...

Since you have vaulted ceilings now....Do you need a Red flashing beacon light when you have that thing open so aircraft don't crash into you?......
