RTT - Side or Rear?

How are you guys mounting your RTT's? I'm looking at the CVT Mt. Shasta with the Annex. It will be going on a Gobi roof rack on my JKUR.

If I were to use the Annex, the rear door would have to be able to swing and not hit the RTT ladder. Also, I would like to open the rear door and leave it open, but the back wall of the Annex would hinder this. Just wondering how you guys are mounting yours.

I mount a Tepui Kukenam opening over the rear glass and door of my JKU. The open tent acts as a partial rain cover. The glass and door have no trouble clearing the ladder when extended

We also have a Tepui RTT, the Autana with an annex. I mounted it to the rear on my JKUR on a Gobi rack. We just leave the rear door open. The annex has a door that open into the back of the Jeep. It works out great.

I went side mount (drivers) and my ARB awning is off the passenger side.

I just came back from visiting our local CTV dealer. Looks like the Mt Sasha will clear the rear gate on my Liberty Good luck!

I was just asking the very same question in another thread! I'm looking at the same CVT Mt. Shasta and have the exact same setup with the Gobi. Thanks for beating me to it!!

I like mine off the rear, it provides some shelter for opening the rear barn door:

LOL. I have decided to go for the rear mount. I like the idea of having easy access to the rear of the Jeep.
