Sand flags for The Simpson?

I want to put a sand flag on our roof rack not on our bull bar but as per the rules sent below it should be 2m above the roof.
Now that will make it bloody high what has everyone been doing????

1. Every vehicle must have a sand flag
Specifications:

• Minimum 300mm wide and 290mm high
• Fluorescent red/orange or lime/yellow
• If mounted on bullbar or front of vehicle must be 3.5m from ground level
• If mounted on roof rack must be 2m from roof level

Keep the 3.5m above ground your measurement and you will be right . That's all we did. We had it mounted just to the rear of the cab.

Ours is also 3.5m + above ground at the front/top of the bed/over.
I suggest that if it is further back then it should be higher to compensate.
I made ours (and got a bit creative for the one on the Canter ).
The orange works better than the high vis yellow.

mount it nearer the middle - there are deserts with trees that overhang tracks in Oz ?

Ok thank you guys that is what i thought 3.5m from ground level .
Middle of roof rack very good advise.
