Santiam State Forest

Had a free afternoon yesterday and needed something to do. I decided to head up to the Santiam State Forest outside Molalla for a little exploring.

Ryan, you sure get your money's worth out of that roof rack; firewood, gas cans, pool ladders...

Great pics, as usual. The butterfly on the flower and Mt Hood were my favs.

Thanks Tom. That "money's worth" was a free rack, gutter mounts I already had, a strengthening cross bar donated by my old company, welding I did myself... I think I'm maybe out about $15 for bolts and spray paint.

The best part is I can now carry two Kayaks up there when I could only carry one with the stock rack.

Hopefully I'll get a trip planned later this summer or fall you might be interested in or else something up your way will catch my eye.
