I added one to our 2005 earlier this spring.
We are planning to tow a trailer for camping so I wanted to be able to watch the transmission temps.
It really depends on what kind of driver you are, I'm a gauge-watcher and like to see what's going on;
Currently I run;
cWT (engine coolant temp)
cTT (Auto Trans Temp)
LHK (instant L/100Km)
dLK (daily L/100km avg)
on trips I switch around to see intake air temps and LOD numbers..
