I am very please so far, however the front suspension’s articulation SUCKS. I hit a bump and it pitches the whole truck up. Not much flex at all. The rear is superb and I have no complaints. I am wondering if the lack of flex is due to a too firm of a spring in the front or the swaybars. Ideas???

Are you disappointed in the amount of front travel or the ride quality? It seems like you are discussing two different things here. For more travel, you can gain another inch with uniball upper control arms such as those offered by Total Chaos, Camburg, and All-Pro. Massive travel gains can be made with a Total Chaos or Camburg long arm kits, but they are not cheap.

For better ride quality you may need a spring with a lighter rate or even a shock that can be valved for your specific application. The lighter rate spring is the cheapest option, but King, Fox, and Sway-a-way all make rebuildable shocks for your truck that can be custom valved.

Articulation is the problem - the ride is fine. "Hit a bump" is my poor way of saying "rolling up on a rock." Sorry...

Removing the sway bar - hasn't happened yet - mom is having heart surgery tomorrow and I have journed to Ashland Kensucky very spur of the moment. Internet access is limited as is my time - but more to come soon - I still have yet post the pics of the wonderful sliders that OFS made for me just before the trip.

Prayers for mom would be appreciated!

I will definitely keep you and your mother in my prayers. Trucks seem like a pretty trivial luxury at times like this.

I appreciate this forum so much...

Mom is great - the opted to not have the surgery for very favorable reasons. Moe info to come later. Thanks for the support!

Pics of sliders comming soon!

I have some photos of the rock sliders that Off Road Solutions added to Schattenjager's Tacoma. I think that the sliders turned out great, I hope that your mother's surgery did as well.

whoa!

mom is doing great - thanks a million for asking. Turns out to be a potassium issue. And to think she was about to go under the knife too...

That is indeed my truck but those are not my pictures.

Sorry, I can take the photos down if you would like. ORS is not using them to market their stuff, I just snapped the pictures when I was at the shop and your truck was there. Did not mean any harm.

Denver is half way between Albuquerque and Rapid City, it makes for a convenient place to stop. :) I've been stopping by the ORS shop fairly often to document the coilover solid axle swap they are doing on a Tacoma there. I usually try to take photos of whatever other interesting projects they are working on and I recognized your truck from ExPo.
