I love the D2 cupholders! I've had them in for so long and they just seem so right that I almost forgot they weren't stock till I read your post.

My best mods were to yank out the original engine, gearbox and axles... and replace it all with Toyota stuff...

After that.... fitting the softtop..

There are so many on my SIII 109 that it's hard to know where to start, but amongst the best are:

200Tdi engine;
Roverdrive;
MoD 110 side jerrycan lockers;
Wright Off Road sound proofing;
Defender inertia reel seat belts (big safety improvement);
4 x Defender front seats (special mountings for second row with altered tub floor for leg room);
Improved lighting (halogen and relay headlight conversion, front spots, twin rear fog and twin reverse lights);
Smartscreen intermittent windscreen wiper system;
Triple fuel tanks (42 IGal capacity), and finally, when I can complete the project:
Defender axles (CV joints, discs all round, better steering lock, 3.54 diff ratio, 6" wider track)

My rear detroit locker. Baller on the trail, crucial on the rocks, dukes of hazard style on the road, rally style in the snow, donuts in the dirt.

Pretty awesome, really.

You can't just post something like that without going into full detail or linking to a dedicated thread.:Wow1:

I thought I had it made by being able to run biodiesel...

I am generally convinced that any modification to a Rover starts the slow process of ruining them. Even my Discovery with the limited work I did was too much.

I think for my next Rover, it will be this (even if I have to assemble it myself), completely stock except for a winch bumper and 8274 Warn. I will also install a HAM radio and iPhone based stereo. Maybe some Escape Gear seat covers and a fridge. Nothing structural or on the exterior. It is a thing of beauty as is IMHO
