Show me your best rover modification.

No

It was suggested to me by Keith at RoverTracks. Unfortunately, I had already built the 3rd members.
I don't think Sam meant he proposed it to you specifically. I think he was referring to this post from last year that he was being called a moron for suggesting.
If the high range in the LT230 was 1:1, you could run 4.27 gears in the axles and have EXACTLY the same highway RPM, yet the crawl ratio would drop from 39 to 46.8.

my air and dual battery controls. extra fuses are on the back of the hatch cover too ;)

And my simple but actual favorite, 2" receiver specifically for bike rack mounted to the swing out tire carrier. the whole thing swings out and away. Factory hitch is not used, bikes are up high from the ground, or hoods of cars when city parking ;) I can put any hitch rack there, the one pictured with 4 bikes or I've also used the flat tray/upright bike carrier which is awesome for either "big" DH bikes, or just any bike you don't want to hold via the frame.

See 2" square on center just above bumper:

I see you have the rover vents installed in the rear of the roof.

Some have said not to install them because they tend to leak water.
That's where the tropical roof as on Series Land Rovers are nice, no leaks ever from the roof vents. Of course, good seals help also. LOL

The tropical roof, in general, really helps with reducing heat.

Very nice! Great solution to an issue I've thought about as well - how to get the bikes up higher and also be able to tow a trailer with a bike rack in place. Who made that bumper? I assume you added the 2" receiver?

Bumper is the basic Kaymar with swing out tire right and jerry can left optional selections.

To me the design is good but you have to decide what is more important for your needs. Kaymar builders decided that the option for TWO tire carriers, one on each side, was more important than ideal location of a single tire carrier. What I mean is their tire carrier sets the wheel to within one half of the space as opposed to an almost centered design such as you would see on the back of a Discovery door - you know, slightly offset from center.

The problem with the stock/factory Kaymar layout is that it blocks the big main rear lamps almost completely from view for following drivers. While they did a great job adding a second set of fully functioning lamps into the bumper, they are small as you can see and not comparable to the factory lr3 lamps. Plus, I like having 4 like the Discovery 1/2.

So, my hitch shop cut the tire carrier vertical tower, moved it over and then created a slide-in arm and receiver for the bike rack. More measuring would have been good as the lock for the rack into the receiver cannot be completely unbolted without removing the tire.... annoying but then again, how often would you need to play with the rack itself? The rack folds out about 30 degrees which allows easy access to the tire if needed.

Oh, once the tire is moved over toward the center, then you could also use the simpler Thule "Spare Me" bike rack which mounts right on. This only holds 2 or three bikes but is more trim. The only issue there is if you need your spare, you first must remove not only the bikes but also the rack. Not impossible, just more crap to deal with.

What's cool about the 2" receiver though is that it also allows me to use the upright bike holder Thule 916xt (or similar Yakima). This makes the easiest form of bike mounting due to no issues with frame designs and the bikes don't want to sway and wiggle against their paint.

I used a Jim young/Series Trek/Mercedesrover adapter. No write up, just loads of photos and notes in case I did it again, which I am.........just bought a 300TD.
