The Hilux is a 2010 diesel which is one of the many I get use for work. In the picture it currently had around 1,500lbs of cargo and you couldnt really tell when driving it. The 4runner (Surf) isn't ours but I couldn't help posting it.

I have an almost identical rig. What tires are you running? Do have spacers on them? Are you running stock suspension?

Tires are Toyo M/T 275/70/18 with OME906 in the rear, and a crappy REVtek kit up front for now. I'm hoping to buy some coilovers this winter. I believe the offset on the wheels is et12.

Tehy crucify us here in Michigan if they catch us running powerlines. Same with crossing water too.

A good amount of the power-line roads in WA state are gated off, which sucks. These ones connect to my neighborhood and go for a good while in every direction. For some reason the gates on each end are open all the time, and I haven't seen any signs that say not to enter. I usually take a garbage bag with me when I go back there to help pick up trash, and I also take my dog and his frisbee. A guy from the power company passed me yesterday while I was out there throwing the frisbee with my dog and he just smiled and waved.

I'm also disabled, so I guess if they got mad at me I'd just tell them I'd walk back there if I could. Haha

Saw you going through the Starbucks drive through today in Bend, so random. Our 4runners are twins...suppose that's why I took note.

Not particularly adventurous, but wanted to show off the new stance.
The Bilstein/TRD/890 is a VAST improvement on the previous mess under there!

Haha! Nice - My better half enjoys a frappachinothingy before a camping trip (I think I do too, but I always give her a hard time about it)...
shoulda given me a honk or two, always nice to see a fellow 3rd gen!

I have been trying out various awning arrangements with the new Tacoma this week. Probably the most versatile is the Kelty Carport.

I've lived in the desert, the jungle, 14 years overseas in just about every climate, I know there is no perfect set up but thanks for the advise!

I'm just using the Carport as an awning not a tent, I have been sleeping in the truck bed in the ARE cap with mosquito net! Works well so far.
