This past week I took the 4Runner on its Maiden Voyage, a solo trip to Big Bend N.P. Truck performed flawlessly. I tested her out on the Glenn Springs/Black Gap road to the old Mariscal Mine. That ended up being more of a trail than I expected, but I made it none the less. I do now know that I need to get rid of those silly P-Rated tires. Woke up the last morning with about 10 psi in one.

Just a cell phone picture, but installed some 285/70/17 duratracs on my 4runner. WOW do they ride on road much better than my previous tires. Can't wait to get them on some trails!

I love these things. I'll be upgrading to the New ST but these have been great. I have at least 35k on them but surprisingly I wasn't as anal about logging miles as I thought I would be. I think their as quiet as a 33" all-terrain can be. Not a huge drone at speeds either. The only tires I can compare them to are the old style BFG muds and they are leaps and bounds quieter than those.

I could be wrong, but it looks like it's made out of Unistrut channel.

@soonenough is correct, it's Unistrut with 3/4" crossbars and expanded steel mesh that goes 3/4 length. I welded two tabs onto the front of the rack and used the bolts that came with the light bar to fasten it. You can faintly see two rubber "feet" which are threaded into the front bar of the rack with stainless hardware. They support/displace the weight of the light bar and rack front onto the roof. Love the pyrite mica color. Nice truck!
Also pretty entertaining license plate edits. I LOL'd. Although just to be the dark horse, I'm quite certain anyone driving down the street has the potential to write down your license plate number. Unless you drive around with the awesome mustache face covering your plate all the time! hahah that would be awesome.

Y'all might be onto a million dollar idea..... Clip on license plate mustaches. I mean really.... If the pet rock guy is a millionaire, why can't some Tacoma owners with sarcastic ingenuity?
