This is at a place called Three Peaks down here in Southern Utah. They have UROC and WEROC and all those other rockcrawling competitions here. My friends and I go there and do dutch oven dinners and hike around, it's a pretty cool place.

Corey..

Impressions of how the T-2 carrier's held up for you? Mine's still going strong after 3 seasons of (ab)use.
Also, *preferably* (Pro-Bike Tech/Fitter..advise) when transposting the bike(s) put them in mid and mid gearing. It will both give room and not allow the derailleur to get bashed, but also prevent any possibility of a dropped chain (IE: if rear hanger is bent or front der drops it). IOW..no chain damage after hitting the trail for a while by it getting stuck behind the cassette or the cranks.) You'd be surprised at how many people ignore this advise and keep us techs in the money during peak season. ;)
Thanks for the tip on the gears.
I always keep the front on on the middle ring when I am done with it, but not sure what I had the rear one on.
Kind of hard to tell from this picture after storing the bike for the night.

The Thule T2 is a great rack, very heavy duty.
The sales/tech guy at my LBS has the older one before Thule took over the design, and he swears by it and the T2 for going off road where it will be subjected to vibration.
His had much more steel verses aluminum like mine, but the design is the same.
His had a fair amount of rust on it.

I looked at a few different ones there, and when he saw the way my rig was setup for going off road, this is the one he said I would be the most happy with.

With just about 2600 miles on the odometer it's still pretty much stock. Hopefully that will be changing soon.
