I too have always wanted windoors. On my titan they wouldn't have been useful since even at almost 6'2 there's no way I could have grabbed something out of the bed through the windoor, bed rails were too high.Looks nice. I wish I got the windoors on my topper. I like your plans of minimal modifications and just use the heck out of it!
I was first on this site around 2008-2009. There is a pretty stark difference in the vehicles on here in 2025 vs. back then. I really miss all of the DIY fabrication and no "follow me on Instagram" post.I am sure if I looked hard enough I could better pin point the changes from soft roof toppers, to pop ups with hard covers, to the must have snorkel to the must have ladder.
Fun thread.
I always wonder when “minimalist” overlanding will take over these insanely built rigs lolI was first on this site around 2008-2009. There is a pretty stark difference in the vehicles on here in 2025 vs. back then. I really miss all of the DIY fabrication and no "follow me on Instagram" post.
Well I could sell this one and you could start. 2014 limited, custom Catskin interior. Many other options all done by toyota including leveling kit, tires, rims, roof rack. Never off road. Only 94k miles. All service done. Always. 2nd owner. Newer tires and brakes. Needs zero.I always wonder when “minimalist” overlanding will take over these insanely built rigs lol

It’s definitely fun doing more with less, I enjoy hard challenges but it’s also nice having some capability. I never went bigger than 33s on my built XJs and enjoyed following all my buddies with trailer queens. Now I enjoy taking the Taco out and seeing what it can do, I definitely need some sliders though.I love making it to the same place as built rigs, in my bone stock truck on P rated 33s....lol.
Its true lol. Everyone has their own opinions, that’s generally why I lurk and don’t engage anymore. Sometimes I catch myself starting to type out some long explanation and then I think to my self “why even bother” and then I delete it.Inverse snobbery seems to be a part of all hobby groups.... lol.
LC belong here. The GX460/ Prada 150 is so that opens it up to all LCSorry, couldn’t help myself. No real LC/Prado thread that I could find. So thought I would go outside the lines and add a pic of my 2024 LC 1958. Sorry! 😬View attachment 884193View attachment 884199
