show us your truck bed trailers

Thinking of picking up this trailer...ImageUploadedByTapatalk1354079968.069920.jpg

I would need to lengthen the tongue, it has a real one ton trailer axle, comes with the cargo net. Thoughts?

I like it !
Looks like a good starting point for a build.
Lengthen the tongue and you are good to go.
Sale depends on the price?

The price is right. But I have four kids and it is almost Christmas. So funds are low. Have a little bit of a Christmas bonus coming my way, but not for another couple of weeks. So I have to see of I can work something out. If I get it, it will be a mild build designed to get all the crap you take camping when you have kids and a wife, Especially when the wife did not grow up camping, To base camp, so it will be on forest service roads and the like most of the time. Might do a little firewood hauling duty next year as well, but mostly, it will store camp stuff.

Mine is progressing. This is after 1 coat of paint on the body. It now has 4. Frame was sanded, primed and painted. All new wiring harness is complete. Restoration compete. Now time for outfitting.

Not sure if this is exactly what you meant, but here's mine as it sits now...

1986 ford truck bed trailer behind my 2004 4x4, 1976 camper. Just started on this trailer, so far only new shocks and a paint job.

The 1958 chevy short bed trailer that was too small and had a hard life, traded it for the bigger ford trailer.

Today, added a front fuel can mount platform that can hold 2- 5gal cans and 1-20lb propane tank mounted in an old milk crate, perfect fit. A swing up trailer jack with wheels, mounted steel wire shelving racks to front of trailer frame for light cargo and a step platform. Also installed a heavy duty safety chain, steel cable wheel lock and wheel chock (not pictured)
Sorry the pictures are dark but I was not finished till 10pm.

Here is the beginning of mine. The donor truck was wrecked, so I didnt feel bad cutting it up. Plans are to close up the front of the topper and add a tool box and some expanded steel to the front, as well as jacks front and rear. I have an SUV tent that I can attach to the back until I can afford an RTT.
