I want to sleep in my truck. lay down the rear seat and lay across two boards to support the air mattress over things stored under. Any more ideas that you can add? Pictures will be great if this was perform before.

Do you need to keep the rear seats? If you can take them out (as I've done in my LC80) you can make a very nice sleeping system by having drawers in the rear that extend forwards to where the rear seat backs would be. Then use a removable plywood piece of appropriate size to go from the front edge of the drawer on the driver's side to near the front driver's seat back--leave room to recline--where it sits on a supporting frame screwed into the now-empty seat mount holes.

There's room for storage in the drawers and underneath the bed extension and, in my case, just needing enough width for one, there's room for a fridge on the floor on the passenger's side in front of the drawers.

Of course, I have the advantage of having a vehicle that has prebuilt dedicated drawers and bed extensions available, which is not the case for the GX. But my guess is that the new composite drawers Adventure Trailers sells will fit and be a good starting point.

Ok. Now Im thinking of removing my 3rd row seat and installing some type of drawers and folding the 2nd row to help keep the bed level. I just need to find drawers about the same height as the 2nd row when folded that way the bed will stay level.

Wow. That is a piece of work. I'm almost embarrassed to show mine, after something that polished!

I wanted to be able to leave middle seat in (but folded down), and leave the bed/drawer in place when I needed the middle bench. So I came up with a folding design, which allows me to leave it all in the truck...

I also wanted my head at the front, so I could lie on my bed and look out through the cavernous sunroof...And I wanted it to be a half unit so I could pack tall stuff low on the floor. Only needed to be a single, since my dog is small, and my wife will be along when we have the trailer behind us...

Anyways, here's mine (just did it yesterday, so there are finishing touches yet to add)

Battery compartment for a third battery, inverter, etc, in front of the drawer:

If I have rear passengers, its just a matter of flip-flip, and the front half of the bed flips back on itself, and is still usable as a storage surface and drawer.

BTW, vehicle is 93 Mitsubishi Pajero (like the US Montero, except I have a JDM diesel that I imported from Japan)

(looks a little different than this now)
