Slowest 80 Build Ever!!

Holy Moly! the difference is amazing. When we took the old springs off, as we compressed them to get them off, they took a good 5 minutes to unload(I think I am saying that right). They were completely clapped out.

Now, I haven't done the steering stabilizer yet or the CC bushings, but I am having a hard time figuring that I need them. I'm sure I do and will install them, but it feels great, no bump steer at all.

It's not as much stinkbug as I thought, and it is just a joy to drive.

good stuff!

The shocks, not the springs; there was no rebound left in their little hearts, RIP:) I'll give it to you that your springs weren't in any better shape! Sure sits better, still can't believe that we forgot to measure the before and after, guess that is what a 95 degree garage does to one:oops:

Reviving an Old and Slow Thread

Just Purchased Sliders and An Engel Fridge. Will post pics of the ghetto slide I made for the inside of the 80. Just ordered up an ARB Front Bumper as well. The work continues.

Got Some Work

Not totally me. Simon Got the sliders on for me. (See Pic)
Painted them up this weekend and then put in the metal tech spacers (no more stinkbug)--the pic without the sliders is on a slope the stinkbug is not too pronounced. I apologize for the phone pics but all I could get at this point.

So far done:
Sliders
Slide for the engel 45 quart
Spacers for front springs

To do: (immediate)
Get the ARB Front bumper I have sitting at Adventure Trailers installed
Get the snorkel installed
Wire the rear for power for the engel.
Find the fitment for a larger battery rather than running duals at this point (I think it would be cheaper in the long run)

Get out of town and onto the Dirt!!!! That's the biggest one.
Here's some pics and will post more soon.
