Looking for a snatch block for my syn cable. Most of the blocks Ive seen state it is for wire rope. Ive heard that some snatch blocks can pinch syn rope and abrade it. What'cha all using? Looking to keep it under $100 if I can.

Under $100? Good luck finding a rated pully for that price! Don't cheap out on dangerous recovery equipment.
Here is one, I would not go with anything with a lower rating.

Get the correct tool for the job.

There are definitely opinions both ways on these, but I love them so much I started making them. I worked with a small machine shop here in South Carolina, USA, and made another run of recovery rings. This time in orange. If anyone wants one, message me or check them out on ebay..... Yes I ship all over the world and Yes I have had these tested to determine the strength rating.

You can use any wire rope snatch block with synthetic rope. If it’s been used for wire before I would be wary of using it with synthetic. Small abrasions on the block maybe over time damage the synthetic. At least make sure it’s very smooth. As with any block you’ll want to tension your rigging and then check it before actually moving the load. Synthetic and wire can both be damaged by getting stuck in the block.

I'd say you should consider picking up a soft shackle and recovery pulley... Price is very reasonable, with a combo on ebay showing up for $60.

This should work well in fairly clean conditions. If mud and nasty is your thing, I'd suggest going with a standard unit, and just make sure there are no burrs on the pulley or the side brackets that might hurt your rope. UHMW is pretty resilient stuff... So long as you're not putting tension on it across a sharp edge or burr, it isn't likely to be damaged. (Try cutting it with a knife if you don't believe me... It's not easy!)

If you use a standard pulley block, just be sure that the rope stays in the pulley groove as you take up the tension on the line. Once it's tight, it won't come out unless the pulley isn't aligned properly, and that only happens if you rig it wrong in the first place.

Its a puzzle ? i read the side of it, its tree/forest stuff, brand All Gear

Its spendy, i would buy recovery brands

Spendy indeed, but thanks for the reply! I couldn't quite make out All Gear and searching for the "Unleash your rigging skills" didn't get me anywhere.

You can try to piece together a system form various places that might work as well for less money......but probably not....
Have fun trying to solve all the little quirks along the way.
