Man, that is seriously good food!! Amazing how utterly fantastic that food is with really just the basic elements; a fire, a rack, a skillet.

Someone wanted to know the difference between the double BBQ and the Lounge BBQ. I thought I would give the differences here so everyone is informed. One of the keys to the TP-500 Lounge is it forbids the use of charcoal briquettes or wood. There are multiple warnings about using anything other than lump charcoal and only in moderation to ensure you aren’t poisoned by the CO2. I can post the warning booklet for the Lounge if people are interested. But one of the keys is the notes telling you to get the lump charcoal started outside the Lounge and to bring it in only once it’s gray.
With that out of the way, the Lounge BBQ is not even close a general BBQ like the Double BBQ. The size is smaller as you can see in the photos and the surface does not raise or lower like the double BBQ. The size is like a 1 1/2 sized unit where as the Double is well a double or 2 unit size. I took a picture of it in a IGT2 table so you can see. I need to set it up in a IGT 4 to see how the spaces are handled. We went for an overnight camp the other week and decided to capture some images.

I cooked the Lamb over Coals using the SP pile driver lantern pole.

Haha thanks mate. The Lamb took approx 4hrs to cook.

Based on all the warnings the lounge will probably never be sold here!
I actually have two of them, if anyone is interested in one, I will gladly part with it. Also, everyone who showed interest in the windscreens, they are starting to arrive and I will PM you when I have them all here to figure out which ones I dont' need. Most likely IGT3 versions.

Found your post thanks. It would appear your initial reaction preferred the flat burner. Still feel that way after some use?

Well, I haven't used either much, with my work schedule lately. But looking back, if the Flat Burner had been available when I first started buying IGT stuff, I would have skipped over the Baja. The Baja is a great stove, but the liquid injection and the integral folding legs are just features I don't really need, so the minimalist Flat Burner suits me better. Can't go wrong with either, though.

I haven’t used myself, but I think the flat burner is better suited against wind with the burner sitting lower. I have a double stove, but if I had to choose on a single, flat burner.
