Some of you know me from Toyotanation. I am in the military stationed on Oahu, Hawaii. I have been a member of this forum for a while but I don't post much. I do alot of reading of the threads over here though. I figure it is about time to start a thread over here on the progress of my 2006 Tacoma.
Here is a current modifications list. I am headed for Iraq in a couple weeks so the truck is going to stay how it is until I get back. When I do get back there will be a second battery added with in cab outlets, an onboard air compressor for a rear locker, and an all pro front plate bumper with winch.

To kick it off will be pictures of a recent trip to Maui. My wife, my son and myself went on the new Hawaii Superferry from Oahu to Maui for 5 days and 4 nights. We camped up on Haleakala the first night at 7000 feet. The next two night we stayed in a hotel and the last night we stayed out at Kipahulu campgrounds by the O'heo Gulch or Seven Sacred Pools.
We did plan on staying at Kipahulu our second night but the southern route on Maui is closed to do bridge damage from an earthquake. I didnt want to do a 7 hour drive around the northern end of the island to get to Kipahulu. That is why we stayed in a hotel the second night.
Next to a small fishing village on the road to Hana.
Yes, the road does just that.
No fullsize allowed! It was a tight squeeze through a couple spots on the north western coast. This road is not traveled much at all. I saw maybe 5 vehicles the entire 2 hours we were on this road. The views reminded me of the pacific north west.
Some small rock slides on the north western coast of Maui north of Kaanapali. This had recently happened due to the rain that just come through hours prior. There were rocks everywhere on this road.
Damn near 10,000 feet and 40 degrees, in HAWAII!
Entrance to Haleakala National Park. The Hosmer campground is just ahead.
