I might have missed it but does the onboard water come with a tank level gauge?

It doesn't but we have found that with two people cooking, washing, drinking water and the odd shower etc our two 15 gallon tanks last about 4 days, plus I always extra water backcountry. If you are in an established camp just go refill from a camp water source. I haven't tried to one tank at a time method as the tanks are linked, sounds like an interesting idea for monitoring if you need to.

Tank level gauge, or just a simple sight tube, would be nice.

After a while you'll get comfortable with your water usage. It's amazing how consistent it is. Contrary to coastsider's experience, my wife and I typically stay out for 10-12 days with the 35 gallons of water we carry. Obviously, everyone's mileage varies. :sombrero:

Good advice. I also heard the one tank at a time approach works well. Overall, I am pretty sure that we will be going with the onboard water system with space for 2 water cans on the tongue.

Now down to deciding on the under mattress storage and LED interior lights.

I thing we will probably not go with the hot water system.

Currently with our 32 gallons we can stay out about the same number of days depending on the weather. The warmer it is the shorter the time. We have a road shower which also has 4.5 gallons of water.

We're going for as much storage as we can get. Tongue box, expanded metal cage with locking lid, under mattress storage and marine finish cabinets. I am going to get the roof rack brackets so I can mount my solar panel and road shower.

I opted for just the regular lights and swapped out the bulbs to LED. Gonna make some lens covers out of red plexi to get the night vision benefits.

We have the under mattress storage. One thing to note- it's not that convenient to access. Even with the mattress split, it messes up the bed every time you want to get in there. We've relegated that area for things we might need, but don't need to get to very often. (i.e. extra blankets, ground tent, etc.)

Understand it is not real convenient but it will be a good place to store colder weather items for when needed.

Is anyone using the clip on sink with a second propane bottle on the right side? Any feedback on the sink?

We'll be messing up the bed most of the time anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. I just would feel better knowing I had the room even if I didn't need it all the time.

I have the sink and it works great. It's a good size and works well for dishes or as a wash basin for pond baths. Depending on where we are, I drain it on the ground or into a bucket I carry. (we always use camp/biodegradable soap)
