1997 Toyota Land Cruiser (Triple-Locked), 80 Series. From a mechanical standpoint, she's sound.
The ol'girl isn't perfect but she's tough!
As much as I love this thing, it's time to focus on the daughter and getting her a first ride. This would be a great canvas to build your 80 series the way you want. About the only mod is a little bit larger tire than OE, but it's very new KO2s with great life left on them. It's got the usual age-related cosmetic issues - some tears in the seats, a bit of wear on the steering wheel and gear shifter, the D light doesn't illuminate, some leaks that need to be chased among a few other minor points.
When it comes to mechanical reliability, it starts every time, blows cold air, maintains great engine temp at idle and hwy speed and the birfs were recently serviced as I started chasing down leaks. I'd confidently let my son drive it from the East Coast to the West and drive it myself to work often, which is 100 miles round trip. 346,000 miles and counting.
