Details:
Sleeping
The van is ideal for two, but was designed to be flexible enough to accommodate a family of four.
The two benches in the rear of the van have 4” thick custom cushions and a removable table top, so they can be set up to accommodate dining for four or converted into a bed that can sleep two, which is ideal for kids. The full-size penthouse top has plenty of room for two adults to sleep and sit in upright, and due to motor actuation can be raised or lowered with the simple push of a button on the wireless remote or the interior switch.
Storage/Flexibility
The rear benches open for great storage and there are two additional storage cabinets, which have plenty of room to hold a standard camp stove along with cooking supplies, clothes, gear and dry goods. There is also storage above the front cab of the van which is ideal for storing bedding and pillows. All of the doors also have pockets that are excellent for organization and the storage of small essentials. The van layout is flexible to accommodate two additional captain’s chairs (included in sale and have integrated seatbelts) behind the front two seats. In its current configuration (without the second row seating installed) is a storage unit designed to house the included National Luna Weekender 52 fridge and small gear.
Comfort
For convenience and comfort the ceiling is lined with LED lights and includes a “fantastic fan” which blows and sucks air to maintain an ideal temperature and will close automatically if it starts to rain.
The van also has a Propex 2800 heater system, and a frame mounted 3.3 gallon propane tank. This heater has an adjustable thermostat and pumps out plenty of hot air to keep you comfortable year-round. The top and "tent" sides are also insulated so the van can be used year round for winter camping or as a ski/camp/climb basecamp. The triple layer canvas tent walls have large windows that can be fully closed for privacy, opened to just allow in light or opened for awesome ventilation.
The walls and the entire floor are lined with sound deadening material. The floor is also insulated and topped with an easy to clean rubber diamond plate covering.
Power
The 4WD system is custom built by Colorado Camper Van and is based off the F350 1 ton axle set-up. This requires larger wheels to accommodate the beefier brakes required to handle the upgraded coil spring F350 front axles, control arms and steering components. The rear axle is also swapped out for a super duty axle. The ride quality is great and this set up is very strong. In addition to the 4WD system, the van has a house battery system which will charge while the engine is running and will also charge off of a 100W solar panel (expandable to 200W) as needed. There are several 12v outlets throughout the van which can be used to charge everything from tablets to camera gear and can run small appliances ranging from coffee makers to blenders to waffle makers.
Extra Benefits
Full size spare on matching wheel
New Tires (less than 100 miles on them)
Touch screen in dash DVD player with blue tooth head audio and calling.
Back-up camera
2" receiver hitch
Yakima rook basket
Side Ladder
