Are you in the market for a turnkey, pre-DEF expedition vehicle that you can take across all continents? Look no further, we are selling our 2016 Earthcruiser FX built on a 2007 Mitsubishi Fuso FG Chassis!

🦄 This Earthcruiser is a unicorn: No DEF or low-sulfur diesel required! I believe there are only two Earthcruisers built on pre-DEF chassis in the US. This one and Lance’s EXP (Earthcruiser owner).

🎂 The cherry on the cake? This Earthcruiser has a five-speed manual transmission with 4WD hi/lo transfer case Unlike all the other ECs built on recent Fuso chassis, this truck can go in 4LO.

  • Mileage at posting: 107,xxx miles
  • Location: Salt Lake City, UT
With current pricing, a new FX will cost over $595,000 from Earthcruiser.

We are open to trade the EC for a full size truck + airstream.

The truck and the house were fully inspected by Earthcruiser in Bend, OR, earlier this year. In fact, I requested them to perform the inspection they would run on the pre-owned units they sell. So while it’s not “certified,” you can be reassured that the truck is in good shape and ready to hit the road.

Also, while in Bend, Earthcruiser took it to the nearest certified FUSO service center for a full inspection. Nothing to report!

Concerned about the mileage? Diesel engine are engineered to last much longer than gas engines. The mileage is not high relative to the life of a diesel engine.

We have a clean title in hand and the rig is registered as a motorhome. And FYI, it is currently insured as a motorhome and at its market value with StateFarm.

You will have access to the private owner's forum which has been a valuable source of information for us. If you don't like doing the work by yourself, Earthcruiser will be able to take of you, no problems!

Why Are We Selling?

We bought this truck to replace our previous home on wheels while we were still traveling full time. Our life changed quite a bit over the past few months: we are not full-time overlanders anymore and we moved back to our place in Utah. We barely used the EC since then, and it became more pratical for us to use our Tacoma for the occasional overnight camping trip.

That said, we went for a month trip last spring in Southern Utah, and the experience was absolutely amazing. This is truly a beautifully designed rig for full-time travel.

Interested?

The Earthcruiser is available for sale in Escalante, UT. Fill up the water tanks, and explore the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument immediately after taking procession of the rig!

If Escalante isn't a convenient location, we could possibly meet in Salt Lake City, UT.

Please reach out to me at vic.coulon@gmail.com for any questions.

The Fuso is such a great platform to start with and then go and add the EC box it is hard to beat. Looks to be very well sorted and cared for!
GLWS!

Thank you!

Yes, great platform and super fun to drive. Not the fastest on the highway but eh, it has a 4-season cabin in the back 😇

Responding to two questions I received privately that could also help potential buyers:

1. What's our average MPG with the truck?
We were tracking mileage between refuels during the first few weeks/months of ownership, and we averaged 14 mpg at that time (highways+dirt roads). It could be less, it could be more depending of your driving style but I consider this pretty good given that the average with our previous rig (RAM + flatbed + camper) was around 11 mpg.

So with the 60-gallon diesel fuel capacity, you roughly have a 840-mile range.

2. What are the dimensions of the rig?

We are contemplating the idea of buying a trailer once we sell the EC so just wanted to say that we are open to trade the EC for a full size truck + airstream, if you are looking to upgrade to something different.

The Earthcruiser will be in consignment with Earthcruiser soon.

We are waiting for their pre-owned stock to clear-up to bring it over to Bend. Then our truck will be publicly advertised on their website.

That said, if you were interested by this unit and want the Earthcruiser pre-owned warranty, it could be available immediately (just contact their sales person and say you are interested by this unit / feel free to also contact me via email vic.coulon@gmail.com).

Please note that we are ready to let it go for less than our asking price.
