Unless something has gone wrong that beast is ready for winter use. We used our Malayan down to at least 0F, hot showers and all. There are a few cold bridges, but they are not bad.

Winterizing, for storage, requires due diligence to make sure that there is no water left anywhere. As all of these beasts are plumbed a bit differently, that can be hard or easy.

But for the seating plan, we would still have ours.

Thanks I keep looking and i think often I should go with something already nice. It would make the transition easier for me and my pets. So how come the malayan can run wet but the tiger cant...? That's per the tiger owner I contacted.

Logically, if the fresh water tank is inside the habitat, if you are comfy the water is fine. One could fill the cassette toilet reservoir with a mixture of RV antifreeze and water possibly and also add antifreeze to the grey water tank. Some overland rigs have all tanks inside and utilize composting toilets. I believe the Malayan has heated grey water tanks.

Takes a lot of cold to really freeze the grey tank, but we have done it. Fortunately, did not do any damage and it thawed when the sun came out.

Malayans have Webasto Dual Tops or Rixen heat systems. It is very easy to keep the interior at or above 70F/20C and that heat does leak out to the grey tank, etc. (The fresh water tank in inside.) Cassette or composting toilets are inside the heated envelope. The Malayan has nice dual pane windows.

Pretty well, I’d say. The ex-DS rig is a lighter duty one, probably on a beefed up 3500 chassis, while the OP is selling a n F550 based beast.

Yes it is. It meets all my needs in a vehicle. I don't know enough about these vehicles to know if this is a fair price though, but if I was ready to purchase at this time, I would reach out to this owner.

It has a big advantage over many “Expedition Trucks” in that it can travel easily at US highway speeds. Many rigs seem to be limited to 50-60 mph. Those speeds can make you somewhat unwelcome on Interstate Highways, no?

Yes, the this rig does have the ability to travel at acceptable speeds on highway, but pretty sure manufacturer of tires has stated 65 mph is max, which is ok by me.
