**** Trailer has been SOLD ****

We have a new camper on order so our beloved Kakadu Camping BushRanger 200 camper trailer is for sale. This trailer camping setup is ready to go, and can be used for short or long trips, be it an overland rally, in a campground or your super-secret boondocking spot. The tent and canopy-covered sunroom makes for a huge living space. Leave the sunroom open for nice weather, or close it up to keep the wind and rain out when needed. In addition to the queen size bed there's room inside the tent for two full-size cots, perfect for a small family. The waterproof travel cover over the tent is large enough to store lawn chairs or a stepladder underneath, freeing up valuable space inside the trailer for other items such as your camp stove, gear or firewood in a dry, and secure (lockable) fashion. The bedding, including sheets, blanket, and pillows, as well as the small ladder, stays put on the bed and also fits under the cover with no problem.

The trailer features numerous extras already installed and ready to use (see below). The tent, travel cover and gear is in excellent condition. I estimate the total weight of the trailer at 2,000 lbs including all our gear (3-burner Camp Chef stove, 20lb propane tank, 10 gallons of water, camp chairs, cookware, etc. The trailer pulls nicely behind our FJ Cruiser, and is low enough I'm able to see over the top of it out the back window of the FJ. Setup of the tent is easy, and can be done by one person. Because of the poll setup, the canopy setup is best setup using two people. Setup video here. Ray Hyland did a review on the Kakadu BushRanger back in January 2012, though the tent is a slightly different model.

The trailer is being stored inside out of the weather near Portland Oregon, and is currently registered in Washington. Special winter price is $4,700 US. Delivery within a reasonable mileage range can be negotiated.

From the Kakadu website (because they describe it better than I can): The Bushranger 200 Camper Trailer is a perfect fit for those that want to experience the freedom of tent camping combined with the luxury of having a queen sized bed, 200+ sq. ft. of living space and 50 cu. ft. of cargo storage. The Bushranger 200 features a 4'x7' trailer with a side folding OZtrail Ridgeline Zenith tent. A zip-off front awning, 2 doors and 5 windows with No-See-Um mesh, internal privacy flaps and external storm flaps make this camper trailer incredibly versatile and comfortable in a variety of conditions.

Tent Construction: The OZtrail Ridgeline Zenith features 340 GSM SatProof™ 600+ Canvas Ripstop walls and a double silver coated 350 GSM SatProof™ 800+ Canvas roof. The floor of the tent is constructed from reinforced 620 GSM PVC with welded (not sewn) seams to keep the elements out. The camper trailer tent, including the awning, poles, mattress etc. stows on top of the trailer so the box of the trailer itself is entirely available as cargo space. The unit also includes a Gas Strut lift kit on the tent base to allow effortless loading and unloading of cargo from the trailer.

Trailer Construction: The BushRanger 200 camper trailer is a heavy duty trailer designed to perfectly fit the OZtrail tent. The 4’ x 7’ steel trailer is the ideal combination of tough and durable while still ensuring that it is lightweight and functional. The camper trailer offers the perfect storage area for a kitchen, cooler, luggage and additional gear.

In addition to the base trailer and OzTrail tent the following extras currently valued at $2,500 U.S. are included in the purchase price:

3-sided sunroom wall kit (no floor)
OzTrail tailgate-mounted 3-drawer kitchen with stainless steel sink and pump faucet
4 trailer-mounted galvanized steel Jerry Can holders, lockable, two on trailer door, two on trailer sides
Boat/kayak rack
Harbor Freight lockable steel tongue box holding a deep-cycle 12v battery with heavy gauge wiring to rear with sockets for a fridge (not included) or LED lights
Electric trailer brakes, installed but needing to be wired into the plug
Spare tire with mount, and Gorilla wheel locks on all three wheels
5lb propane tank with holder mounted on trailer

How long does all that take to setup ?
Not sure if you mean the entire campsite or just the tent. I'd say the tent itself could be setup in about 10 minutes from the time you unzip the top cover and stow it, pull out the tent, and stake it down. The poles are all attached so nothing needs to be done with them. The canopy would probably take another 10-15 minutes, including laying out the poles and putting them together, then getting things tensioned up properly, then staked down. The setup video link in my post does a good job showing these two steps. If you need or want to put up the sunroom walls they simply attach with heavy-duty velcro and some loops. We only put them on if it's real windy or rainy.

The kitchen unit is attached to the trailer swing-out door so no setup required (just open the door), then just hook up the water line to your Jerry can/jug and the drain hose to another jug for grey water. We usually hang some LED string lights outside over the kitchen unit, and another inside the tent. These have velcro loops so only take a minute or two to hang up. They plug into sockets at either the battery or the one I installed at the rear of the trailer (which I also use for our ARB fridge).

It does, though they need to be wired into the battery for the safety switch to work. My FJ doesn't have a brake controller so it wasn't on my priority to hook back up when I moved the battery into the tongue box.

FYI, I have 3 potential buyers currently in line. I'm hopeful I'll have a deal in place by the end of this weekend.

We enjoyed the tour you gave us at last year's NW Rally... We ended up buying a 250XT a few months later!

That's great news. They really are a cool little setup. We always got lots of looks and questions wherever we parked it.
