03 Tacoma with Tundra coils
Hello. I have been lurking on here for some time, but I have been a part of yotatech and TTORA and Ultimateyota for some time. I did the Tundra coils on my double cab about two years ago after buying a used setup from a TRDparts4u member on Yotatech, and following Bamachem(Andy's) updates on this combo.
At that time, the preferred shock was the Tundra red/blue, and I believe it is the shock from a 2wd TRD Tundra.
For my Tacoma, its worked well, but I really don't wheel it that much. I have an 84 4runner for that, but recently, I added an ARB bumper on the Tacoma and I thought I would have to get a new setup, but to my surprise, the truck has settled very little if any. I think the older setup(Tundra 4wd coils with 2wd shocks) handles the weight of the bumper nicely. Currently, I am running 255/85/16's on blacked out 4runner Limited wheels and I am loving it.
My only question, and somebody else asked this earlier, but I didn't see a reply, is if anyone has any info on the bilsteins that Steve has made for him. I have his setup on my truck, except for the bilsteins and I would like to try them out next, if I could get my hands on them. Anyone have any info?
I will post some pics of my trucks on here soon, as I think I lean toward the expedition side of 4wheeling more than the Rock Krawling side. I like the fact that there is a link to Interbike on the front page which is my real passion (biking and triathlon) so I think I found the right place
