El Gringo Spectacular!
For those of us who have less...Uh....luxurious...rigs...(translated... no carpet, all steel interior, etc.) I'd like to get some opinions on sound deadening...
This thing is a bit loud....
I know ChuckB (FJ45LV) and myself (FJ45 Troopy) would like to use ours as DDs as well as not need comm equipment to talk to passengers while we're driving...so...
I've considered the following:
1. Rhino/Duraback liner on the tub, with carpet overlay...
Pros: anti rust, easy cleaning
Con: Difficult to remove if I want to restore the rig in the future
2. Dynamat with Carpet
Pros...Really quiet!
Cons: Really expensive and hard to clean, difficult to remove?
3. Paint/Carpet/Carpet Felt underlay
Pros:...Simple, removable
Cons: Doesn't prevent rust...more difficult to clean.
Anyone have any experience with dynamat? Anyone have any tips that really worked for them?
